The Mission of the Transportation Ministry is to provide safe, reliable, convenient and affordable transportation services to members and guests of Zion to attend scheduled worship services as well as any other approved church-sponsored activities or events. Members and guests utilizing transportation services should be seniors (above 65 years of age) and/or requiring “special need” assistance. Other ministries of Zion may also request the use of the Transportation Ministry’s services provided said requested usage has been approved by either the Church Administrator or another designated official of Zion Baptist Church.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDED: The Ministry will provide the following transportation services to and from Zion Baptist Church:

• Sunday Morning Worship Services
• Wednesday Noon-Day Bible Study Services
• Wednesday Evening Bible Study Services
• Funerals, Weddings and other Special Occasions
• Special Praise Services (i.e. - Revivals, Choir Concerts, etc.)
• Annual and Semi-Annual Church Conferences
• Shuttle-Bus Service between Zion and the Carter Barron Parking Lot for Sunday Morning Worship Services (coming soon)

In addition, the ministry will provide, on a case-by-case basis, requested transportation services for members of Zion Baptist Church and guests to attend church-sponsored outings such as picnics, recreational, educational and cultural excursions and other fellowship activities/events.

FREQUENCY OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDED: The Ministry will strive to offer transportation services year-round based on published schedules, however certain terms and conditions will apply to ensure safe and reliable transportation services to include but not be limited to the following:

• Sunday Morning Worship Services, Wednesday Noon-Day Bible Study Services and Wednesday Evening Bible Study Services as well as Shuttle-Bus Service from the Carter Barron Parking Lot during Sunday Morning Worship Services. All of the above transportation services will be provided (as deemed appropriate) between the months of February and November.
• In addition, during the period between the months of February and November any severe weather conditions which would mitigate safe and reliable driving conditions would be cause for suspension or cancellation of the above stated services. However, the final decision to suspend or cancel any of the above transportation services will be made jointly by the Chairperson of the Transportation Ministry and the Pastor.
• Moreover, during the severe inclement weather months of December and January, transportation services will not be available for the above usage.
• All other transportation services to include, but not be limited, to: Funerals, Weddings, Special Occasions, Praise Services and Church Conferences will operate on a case-by-case basis as authorized jointly by the Chairperson and the Pastor.
• Further, the ability to have approved volunteer drivers available for any of the above requested transportation services will always be taken into consideration with regard to any activation, suspension or cancellation of the above listed services.
