Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Purpose/Mission: The Young and Young Adult Ministry is an intergenerational ministry in which members of each age group act as big sisters and brothers to those in the next- youngest group. The goal is to assist in the social and spiritual development of the younger, while participating in activities that strengthen their own sense of fellowship, and social and spiritual enrichment. Three age groups form the ministry.

RiZion (ages 12 to 17): Youth meetings concentrate on faith formation and Biblical requirements to help them navigate their teens years.
Meeting time: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7 p.m., Sunday school auditorium

Project 1822 (ages 18 to 22): Youth exchange experiences and challenges regarding life as younger young adults, and the tensions between “what saith the Lord,” and what saith the world.
Meeting time: 2nd Tuesday via Zoom, 7 p.m.

ViZion (ages 23 to 30): Young adults focus on community engagement, spiritual discipline, and their responsibilities to others and themselves.
Meeting time: 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 7 p.m., Sunday school auditorium

Guiding Scripture: “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.”
1 Timothy 12-15
