Community Engagement

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?

Zion believes everyone is a family member. She strives to provide, and seize every chance to give her time, energy, and/or finances for the good of the other.

Community Engagement (CE) opportunities – planned and presented – are occasions to show our faith through deeds, and to fulfill Jesus’ illustration to feed, clothe, nurse, and welcome.

Zion’s CE projects are publicized on this website, and Sunday during announcements.

Zion’s community involvement:

• Mobile Market produce distribution: first (Zion DC), and fourth (Zion North) Thursdays
• NCCF Freedom School at Zion
• Do No Harm Anti-Gun Violence campaign with Ward 4 Faith Leaders
• Toys for Tots Christmas toy drive
• Pluck-A-Feather Thanksgiving basket give away
