Theme: Am I Using My Gifts for God’s Glory

(All scriptures are from the New King James Version [NKJV])

1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV) As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (NKJV) There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.

Romans 12:4-6 (NKJV) For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NKJV) Therefore, I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Reflection As believers, we have each been uniquely crafted by God to serve a specific purpose within the body of Christ. These scriptures remind us that our talents and abilities are not for our own self-promotion, but are gifts of grace intended to minister to others and glorify our Creator. When we choose to stir up these gifts and walk in the good works prepared for us, we honor God’s workmanship in our lives. Let us reflect this week on how we can more faithfully steward the grace we have received for His kingdom.
