Prayer in the Word – Scriptures for the Week of October 29, 2025
Theme:
We are God’s people. Today we are laying our burdens before the throne of God.
Scriptures for the Week:
Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 6:33–34 (NKJV)
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
1 Peter 5:6–7 (NKJV)
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Psalm 55:22 (NKJV)
Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 100:3 (NKJV)
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Reflection:
As God’s people, we can come boldly to His throne with our burdens, knowing He cares deeply for us. This week’s scriptures remind us to rest in His promises, trust His guidance, and find peace in His care. When we surrender our worries to Him, we experience the freedom and joy that comes from being fully His.
