Prayer in the Word – Scriptures for the Week of October 8, 2025

Theme:
The wait is over — “There is wisdom in waiting.”

Scriptures for the Week

Isaiah 40:29–31 (NKJV)
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Psalm 62:5 (NKJV)
My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.

Psalm 33:20–21 (NKJV)
Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in Him,
Because we have trusted in His holy name.

Psalm 40:1 (NKJV)
I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Reflection
Waiting can test our patience, but it also strengthens our faith. God’s timing is never late—He renews us in the waiting, teaches us to trust, and prepares us for His perfect plan. As you meditate on these scriptures, be encouraged that there is divine wisdom and purpose in every season of waiting.
