Reflection
God’s mercy toward us is both a gift to receive and a pattern to follow. Scripture reminds us that through His grace, God removes our transgressions, forgives those who confess their sins, and provides atonement for what we could never overcome on our own. Because we have received such abundant mercy, we are called to extend that same grace to others. Forgiveness does not deny that hurt or wrongdoing occurred; rather, it reflects a heart transformed by the forgiveness we ourselves have received from God. As we pray this week, let us ask the Lord to make us tenderhearted, gracious, and willing to forgive, so that our relationships reflect the mercy He has so freely shown toward us.
