Theme: Obedience Demonstrates Our Love for God

Scriptures for the Week
(All scriptures are from the New King James Version [NKJV])

Isaiah 1:19 (NKJV)
If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land.

1 Peter 1:14–16 (NKJV)
As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;
but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

1 Samuel 15:22 (NKJV)
So Samuel said:
“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.”

1 John 5:3 (NKJV)
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Deuteronomy 11:1 (NKJV)
Therefore you shall love the Lord your God, and keep His charge, His statutes, His judgments, and His commandments always.

Reflection
True love for God is revealed not just in what we say, but in how we live and obey His Word. These scriptures remind us that obedience is not a burden, but a response to His holiness and goodness. When we align our lives with His commands, we position ourselves to walk in His promises and experience His provision. Obedience reflects a heart that trusts God fully and honors Him above all else. Let this week be a time to recommit to living in a way that demonstrates your love for Him through faithful obedience.
