Resting in the Presence of God In and Through All Things!
Scriptures for the Week
(All scriptures are from the New King James Version [NKJV])
Exodus 33:14 (NKJV)
And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Psalm 23:2–3 (NKJV)
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Philippians 4:6–7 (NKJV)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:6–7 (NKJV)
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Psalm 37:7 (NKJV)
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Reflection
God’s presence is not only our comfort in peaceful seasons, but our refuge in every circumstance. These scriptures remind us that true rest comes from trusting Him with our worries, laying our burdens at His feet, and patiently waiting on His timing. When we turn our anxieties into prayer, the Lord replaces our unrest with His peace. May we learn to rest daily in His presence, knowing He faithfully cares for us through all things.
