Above the Lord Our God, there is no other.

Scriptures for the Week

(All scriptures are from the New King James Version [NKJV])

Revelation 1:8 (NKJV)
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Colossians 1:16–17 (NKJV)
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Isaiah 44:6 (NKJV)
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel,
And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
“I am the First and I am the Last;
Besides Me there is no God.”

1 Timothy 6:15–16 (NKJV)
…which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

Exodus 20:2–3 (NKJV)
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
You shall have no other gods before Me.”

Reflection

Scripture continually reminds us that the Lord stands alone in His power, authority, and glory. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Creator of all things, and the King of kings who reigns over heaven and earth. In a world filled with competing voices and distractions, these passages call us back to the truth that there is no God beside Him. As we reflect this week, may our hearts remain devoted to the One who created us, sustains us, and alone deserves our worship.
