Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV)
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.

Psalm 30:11–12 (NKJV)
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

Joel 2:25 (NKJV)
“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,

Reflection

God is a God of restoration. Even in seasons of loss, sorrow, or hardship, the Lord promises to bring healing and renewal to His people. The scriptures remind us that what once felt like ashes can become beauty through God’s grace and power. When we return to Him with open hearts, He restores what was broken and strengthens us for the journey ahead. May we trust the Lord to transform our pain into praise and our mourning into joy.
